Incorporated in 1774, the Township of Wilkes-Barre was one of the first townships to be settled in
Pennsylvania. Once stretching from the Susquehanna River to the Lehigh River, sprawled out over the
foothills of the Pocono Mountains, the Township today, is one of the premiere destinations in
Northeastern Pennsylvania for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
